No! No! No! November!
Posted in Life on 11/02/2009 10:10 am by EmilyI’m not a big fan of November. Its cold, grey, dark and as we’re in the Northwest – wet. Not much to celebrate there really! So I’ve decided to say No! No! No! to, and in, November.
What am I saying no to?
I’m saying NO to my extra weight and rubbish fitness level by committing to doing the 30 Day Shred this month.
I’m saying NO to wheat. – Several years ago I was diagnosed with food intolerances, including wheat, but they all seemed to disappear during my pregnancy which delighted me to no end. Sadly not only does it seem like they’ve returned but they seem to be affecting Little Miss which is not cool so I’m back to living without wheat and a couple of other things
I’m saying NO to booze. Its not that I’ve been drinking a lot lately but I am hoping that giving it up will not only help my results with the Shred but also clean up my system so I can figure out which of the intolerances is giving us the problem.
I’m saying NO to caffeine. I’m going to have swiss-water processed decaf because I love my morning coffee routine. I hate giving up caffeine because I know it means a couple of weeks of headaches but hopefully with the easing off to decaf it won’t be too bad.
I’m saying No random purchases. I don’t know why October always seems like such an expensive month but I’ve also found that I’ve been buying things we don’t really need – so I’m going to be more mindful of what I’m buying and only buy those things we need. It’ll be a nice reminder of the difference between want and need too – perfect for just before Christmas!
