Blessed.

I have so many things going through my head at the moment I’m not entirely sure where to start. Today was the BlogHer Vancouver meet up and I am awed and honoured to have been in such amazing company. I met some people I’ve never heard of, met some people I’ve been digging on Twitter but also got the joy of meeting Chicklet in person (and I can confirm she (a) has an adorable bump and (b) is even more beautiful – inside & out – than you can tell from her blog).

I loved meeting these fabulous women who are located in our own back yard and hope this is the first meet up of many. I was such a nervous wreck on the way there I actually called husbando (who’s away on a job) for a pep talk but I’m so glad I went. I think people are always surprised when they find out I’m nervous in these scenarios – I’m sure I come across as very confident (I’m a big fan of the whole fake it till you make it mentality) but in group situation I swear I’m transported back to the whole “new girl at a new school” scenario and I’m eight years old again. But I digress! A huge shout out to Mr Lady for pulling the whole thing together – thank you, thank you, thank you!

I’ve also been meaning to write about the incredible conversation I had last Saturday night with Anna.  We talked about life and turning points and identity and motherhood and transformation and finding our way. It shook a lot of thoughts free and I’m still trying to pull them together to write about them coherently but I hope they’re something I can share soon.

It amazes me how a community I didn’t even know existed just over a year ago can so enrich my life today. I love how my blog has lead me here, lead me to all of you. I feel blessed.

Liar, liar! You were not nervous, no way!!!! ;-) Well, I gotta say you fooled me too lady, cuz I was the one shitting myself, getting all school-girl-I-don’t-know-how-to-do-this, and you just seemed so comfortable and fine with it all.

Anyway, aAs I hope you could tell, it was awesome meeting you and I look forward to meeting/emailing/chatting again – you kicked ass in that dress with your wickedly-front-facing bump, and I’m dying to hear more travel stuff (I always am).
